To get serious about scrapbooking again. After some computer issues and a long break, Im ready to start scrapping again.I have done some stuff that I haven't took the time to post here but I am truly loving my pages these days. I really miss the design team work and am considering trying to find a team soon.I also plan on keeping up with current calls and submitting more. Hopefully I'll find what Im looking for and can get lots and lots of pages done.

I've been creating some pages that I consider my best work to date. I hate not being on any DT right now. It kind of forced me to create even when I didn't want to but I wasn't happy with the pages I was creating. Now I create what I want , when I want. I've done a few contest lately and I'm loving it. Of course I couldn't possibly win but its fun anyway.
I've been visiting CX again and the members there are so wonderful. The gallery is truly awesome! They have so many talented ladies. NSD was so much fun. I loved all the games and challenges. I'm not a card person but I actually made a couple cards and loved em.
I've also found two new sites that are awesome!

Bittersweet the grieving joy...
Bittersweet the grieving joy,
The death and birth of our twin boys.
One this world will never know,
One alone will live and grow.
Conceived and carried as a pair,
In birth alone one breathed the air.
His cry assured us he'd be fine;
His brother silent came behind.
Caleb now in heaven will dwell.
Caden will play and laugh and yell
As all strong boys are want to do.
He'll learn in time he's one of two
And wonder at what might have been,
What life would be like with his twin.
The sharpest sting of grief will pass
And Caden will grow up too fast
As happens with most every child.
I know at times we'll see him smile
And recall our other boy
Who was so like this living joy.
So pain won't end, can't go away,
But joy grows stronger every day
As we experience life anew,
Seeing the world as children do.
We're grateful that we'll have a chance
To see our new boy sing and dance.
To help him learn, to watch him grow,
These all are pleasures we will know.
Yet through the joy and love and care
We'll remember Caleb is not there.

Obituary
Caleb Ryan Hopkins, son of Billy and Christine Morris Hopkins was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, May 24,2007. He entered eternal life on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Caleb Ryan has a twin brother, Caden Lee. Caden is healthy, happy and is a shining star on earth and Caleb is his twin shining star in the heavens above.

It's been a while since I posted. I've been having a hard time this past month. My oldest DD turned 17 the first of February. Now I'm depressed because she'll graduate next year. I guess I never really sat down and thought about being that close. Time flies by so fast. I've decided I need to slow down and spend some more time with my girls before they're gone completely. I'm not sure if this how everyone feels when their kids get older or if it's harder for me to deal with since I had her so young. I just turned 35 I'm not ready for her to go anywhere...lol. Most of my friends are just starting there families and I almost have an independent kid.Well not exactly...lol. Let me rephrase that.I almost have an adult child. Coming to this realization made me sit back and think about my life and where I want it to go from here. Seems like I've been living for everyone else for so long that I've lost sight of where I wanted to be all those years ago before a baby came into the picture. I never gave up on my dreams. They just seem to change to different dreams as life dealt me new cards.
After a whole lot of thinking and some hard decisions I choose to step down from Treasures to scrap design team. This was really hard for me. T and Wendi and all the girls there have been so wonderful. I don't share a lot about me because that's just me . Just writing this post is over the top for me. But I can tell you tons of facts and tidbits about all the girls there. I read every post and even if I don't post anything I make sure I stay on top of what's going on or who's dealing with what. Ask my DH he can tell ya. Because I always share what my DT family is doing with my real family. I still log in everyday and check everything and I'm sure I still will months from now. I just didn't feel I could give them what they need to make this site what they want it to be. Its growing so fast and with the new girls It'll continue to grow. They have such fun personalities. I wish you all the best girls and I'll still be around even if I do a lot of lurking.

With eliminations each week (Sunday). The contest will start Monday October 16th with the winner being announced on the week of November 13th. Well I do have some good news .After returning from the vet Saturday I went to artic frogs chat room where I was one of the 10 finialist in their Deal or no deal contest.I submitted the layout with Lisa's daughter Katie that I absolutely love.She's so cute!! I adore this pic. But anyway..lol.They only choose one person to play from the 10 finalist that show up in the chatroom.Guess who they picked.....come on it's not to hard...lol

ME!!!! I absolutely love the tv version of this game and was going for all or nothing. I ended up sticking with my box and not taking Linda's awesome deals and ended up with a $180 box of their fabulous stuff. It should be here tomorrow and Im so excited. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Sophie had to be put to sleep tonight.She wasn't getting any better and the only other option was a blood transfusion which the vet didn't think she was strong enough to live through.

Sophie my 1 year old Persian cat tested positive for feline leukemia today.She appeared to be anemic and was really weak yesterday .She's in for observation till Monday.I stopped by to see her for a minute before they closed.She's in pretty rough shape. Please say a prayer for Sophie..

hmmmm.... my favorite would have to be The Dance Garth Brooks. Because if god forbid something should happen to me I hope they play the dance for me :)

I have a lot of favorites but one I listen to over and over again is Post blue by Placebo .It's just one of those songs that once you listen to it you can't get it out of your head.

Well it's been a busy couple weeks.I went to Pigeon Forge Tn with my two older sisters weekend before last.We had a great time.They have a Scrapbooking Superstore.So I was in heaven. My oldest sister didn't like it too good since she's not a scrapbooker (rolls eyes). Can't believe we haven't got her hooked yet...lol. We went to Dixie Stampede for dinner which was fun. Wonderful show but $45 a piece for dinner is a little steep. That's money I could have spend at the scrapbook store...lol. No really it was fun. We did lots of shopping and ate some wonderful food so it was all good.
I received my layout back from Cantata yesterday. Now I'm anxious to see the book.I'm not sure I can wait. Guess I don't have much of a choice. My CX order came too. I'm loving it all. My fedex packages come by an independant agent now :). no delays thankfully. I'm still waiting for the package from Imaginecreatescrap.com. It's been over two weeks and still nothing :( . no replies to my email either. So I'm not sure what's going on there.
We're going to take the girls back to Pigeon Forge for vacation. Dollywoods kidsfest is having Big Cats and magic. So there's some good photo ops for me. ohhhhhh I have to share this pic . It's a new attraction there that made me do a double take. IT's called Wonderworks . Check this out

I'm so excited!! My sweet 16 layout won CX's Monthly layout contest! They emailed me a $75 Gift certificate and I'm ready to shop. And Imagine create scrap send me two $25 Gift certificates for the spring fling contest.I ordered the BG notch and die tool which i've been wanting forever.

I finally received my fedex package after they contacted an independant driver to deliver it.Dare I say that our fedex branch SUCKS !!!! I listed a mini album on ebay that I absolutely love.

Now I'd like to vent about Fed ex.My package was suppose to be delivered on Tuesday.I still haven't seen the delivery guy.I called Fedex yesterday and get the same old song and dance.Someone from your local office will call you tonight or in the morning.No phone calls at my house yet. She sent the office an email while I was on the phone and I checked the status when we hung up and apparently I wasn't home while I was on the phone with thier operator ...grrrr.Their website says 3-5 days domestic ground delivery.Today makes 9 days.What kind of service is that. He'll probably deliver it to the wrong house today. Just my luck. *sigh*

.....To start selling paper piecings on eBay again. I loved making money to support my addiction and I love my little bears. So I started today making new ones to list. Isn't she cute?! I'd love to get back into making 6x6 albums. I made one for the spring fling contest. And love it.I can't share it yet but I will as soon as the rounds over. I also did one for DH's niece who's expecting a baby girl in August. We're doing the family thing this weekend with DH's family and My family reunion is next weekend.
I had a recent incident with fedex. I won some prizes during CreativeXpress's NSD celebration.I kept checking the trackin info and the day it's suppose to be here .The fedex man never shows up. So I go online to check if there's some delay or something. It says the package was delivered to me and I signed for it. Mind you I've been home all day and there's been no Fedex man anywhere near my house. There's only 3 houses on our drive and the two rental houses aren't ready to rent yet so .... I know it didn't just get delivered to the wrong house. So I call Fedex . The operator didn't seem to believe that I didn't sign for these packages and assured me someone from our local fedex would call me.3 hours later still nothing. Then I get a call from a neighbor , apparently when she returned from work there was packages for me on her front deck. This neighbor is four miles away and doesn't even have the same house number...lol. The only thing similar was both houses were two digit numbers. So I go to pick them up .This is a lady I don't know at all and she says. Oh I was missing some stuff so I opened the boxes just to make sure it wasn't mine.......grrrrrrrrrrr...It doesn't have your name on it ..duh!!! So I call fedex back highly upset since I have no idea what was in these boxes to start with .It was a huge box with about 25 sheets of paper and some fibers . Why would they send such a huge box. And besides that the driver apparently forged my name since no one was home at this address. The fedex operator tries to contact some one locally and no one answers the phone. He then reads to me an email he's sending the local manager and ask him to call me asap. Do you think I've got a phone call yet? NO............So last week I emailed CX and explained everything that happened. And how I felt Fedex should be responsible for anything that was taken out of the package. I didn't hear anything for a few days so I just assumed I had to just deal with it or let it go. Then last Friday I get a call from this wonderful lady from CX. She said she was sorry I had to go through this and they didn't keep a record of what was in the prize boxes. But that she was shipping me a replacement prize just in case it wasn't all there. I told her that's not what I wanted. I wanted fedex to be responsible for the driver's screw up . She assured me she would let the person over shipping know what had happen and let her talk to her fedex rep . She said she was also sending me out the replacement prize of provo craft goodies. I received the tracking info a few days ago. I'm getting a 10lbs box of goodies.Wooohooo! I love CX! It just goes to show you how far they'll go to keep their customers happy. Thanks CX!!! only bad thing is ...it's coming fedex again..So I maybe complaining again Tuesday!!

Well it's a really quiet Sunday here and absolutely gorgeous outside. It's 11 a.m. and 80 outside. DD #1 is still in bed, DD #2 stayed with a friend and DH camped with his brothers last night.So it's just me and the animals ( which have all had they're outside time this morning and are now asleep agian.) I thought I'd check my sites and get some scrapping done finally. But then I checked my blog and decided I needed a new video and what better one than the sexy Keith Anderson. Today is really nice.It's absolutely beautiful outside.Sophie's on the computer desk looking out the window.So she's feeling wonderful. My DD is still asleep.I think the pain killers are doing her in..lol. She ate all night .I guess she doesn't like the thought of not being able to eat or something.We watched Cheaper by the dozen 2 last night and I love it.Great family movie.I'm gonna go try to get some scrapping done since it's so quiet.Have a great day!

Surgery went fine .The crown of the tooth was in good shape but the root they couldnt tell much about because of the way its impacted. She has her button and chain on and is feeling fine from the pain killers they gave her. The gave her Valium during the surgery so she woke up and started crying .Poor thing cried all the way home. It scared me at first but he said it was normal for young girls to get emotional when they take it. I kept asking if she okay and she said she was but that was a lot of tears if you ask me..lol. She's been on the couch watching Disney most of the day.So everything is going great!

Well I made it to the top 5 of the contest. Our next challenge is a 8x8 or smaller album .I've got it started from scratch. My favorite albums are handmade this one will be for Erica. I can't believe I've made it this far but since this is the final round I have to do my best. So I'm putting as much time as I can into it.
And the even better news , Sophie is home and feeling fine just a little tired. Okay a whole lot tired..lol.
My youngest DD goes in for surgery tomorrow morning. Nothing life threatening but I still worry about it. Okay so I'm a worrier .Can't help it, that's just me. She fell when she was first learning to walk and hit her front teeth . This caused one of her permenant ones to be impacted under her nose.The tip of her tooth is pointed straight forward from the x-rays. They plan on putting a button and chain on it and pulling it down. She's really excited at the thought of actually having 2 front teeth finally. Seems like it's taken forever. It makes her really self concious when actually because of her braces most people dont notice until she points it out.

Today isn't going very good. We just left Sophie at the vet with a broken rib and punctured lung. She was in the sofa when the sofa bed was closed. So I feel totally responsible. She really needs surgery.They cant give us how much of a chance she has of making it through. I can't type for crying .Life is so unfair.I love this cat. I'm suppose to protect her and take care of her and now she's hurt because I was stupid and didn't check to see where she was. I'm horrible. I'll be back later .......

Okay it's later ...still feel like crap and still crying . But I'm more optimistic now. Ash keeps telling me people live with broken ribs and punctured lungs everyday. But she said the P word. This is my cat were talking about not People who have real emergency care.Our vet is a joke anyway.She's only in town 2 days a week.Tuesday and Thursday so she can't do surgery till tomorrow anyway.I just hope she makes it till then.
There's suppose to announce the top 5 in the spring fling today.But I can't get my mind of my girl.If she doesn't make it I'm not sure what I'll do.

Final Round

Well the final round of spring fling ends Friday at midnight.I love my altered clipboard and the whitespace layout was pretty good too.It's been really fun creating things I normally wouldn't try.It's hard to believe I made it to the top 10. I never make it this far. I've got most of my DT stuff finished and love it all .The CBX papers are so yummy!

Well I had a huge argument with Ash today. Her mouth is gonna end up being her downfall. She's got into the habit of using edited bad words. Like A , S when she's talking to me. At first it was cute that she was at least trying to edit her words but now its just disrespectful. I have no desire to hear these words come out of her mouth even if its just the letter .I know what she means . So in my mind it's no different. I'm just not sure how to fix the problem. We are so much alike it's scary.She's so stubborn...lol. She'd rather argue her point than breathe guess being a mom isn't suppose to be easy but does it have to be so hard...LOL.

I made it to the 4th round of Spring fling which is a big shock to me. I'm having issues with the requirements for this round.

The book should be fun but I'm not sure about the b&w layout.I have the beginnings of it on my desk but it looks too simple to me. Guess that means I need a trip to the LSS tomorrow to see what I can come up with :). I'm sure you can tell I'm all upset ...lol.

Spring Fling

Wooohooo!! I made it to the 4th round of spring fling at http://www.imaginecreatescrap.com . I actually can't believe I did.I just knew my name wouldn't be on this list. Everyones layouts were so good. But I did make it to the top 15 .This rounds challenges should be really fun. I already started my 12x12 and then I get to alter a comp book :). I love that it takes me outside of the box and allows me to try new things.
Scrap til Dawn is going really good.Our message board went live last week and we have 55 members already. Once we have a gallery I'm sure it will go much faster.I can tell you enough how amazing Kara's kits are. They are certainly the best I've seen.
This is one of my recent favorite layouts.Travis is the sweetest little boy.So calm and quiet.I just loved these pics with the BasicGrey Blitzen papers.I have it hanging in my studio and he loves seeing it there :) .

Okay so it's been a while since I've posted anything, but it seems there just isn't enough time in the day to get through everything .I've been trying to get my life straight and enjoy it .Instead of sitting around waiting .I'm not sure what I ever was waiting for but that didn't seem important at the time...LOL.
I'm finally doing the things I want to with my hobby. Cantata books picked up my layout "kick it like a girl " for an upcoming book titled " Boys and girls pages that rock". I truly thought I was gonna have a heart attack before I could get in touch with DH at work and tell him...LOL. Now if I'm never published again that's one thing I can check off my list.
My design team work is going pretty good. I was chosen for a fabulous new team that only works with kits. She has great taste and the kits are just gorgeous!

I'm not confident I'll make it but it's been really fun. I've real stepped outside of my comfort zone.And have some great layouts to show for it.

I finally started a blog. Now what do I write that would be the least bit interesting to someone I don't know? I live a pretty uneventful life. I like to stay at home and strangers make me nervous. I love to read , so I enjoy other people's blogs. Some of the stuff they think of amazes me. I would love to be able to write freely about my thoughts and feelings but I'm a really private person so we'll see where it goes.

We recently moved into our new house and I'm loving every minute of it .I have my own scrap studio now and since it's finished being painted and the cabinets

installed ,Im ready to create.So hopefully you'll see some of my work soon!!
